We have driven up and down this road more times than I can remember. It's an easy drive with many wonderful scenic views, hiking trials, rest areas with washrooms, and of course wildlife! The road takes about 45 minutes each way without stops. At the end of the road there is a Maligne Lake you can take a boat cruise... but this article is about wildlife. (more…)

I have never been to a lake that vehicles could drive on and people could ice fish. Was cool to see. I will have to try it some day. We walked out on the lake which was cool enough. I think this place would be great in the summer. Was a very nice area.
